1. What's behind Gata and Lusa?
Gata y Lusa is an online jewelry store focused on the individual creation and handcrafted finishing of all types of customizable and made-to-measure jewelry.
(rings, pendants, earrings, …) in sterling silver and 9k and 18k gold materials.
We specialize in creating custom jewelry, transforming your own designs—such as drawings, tattoos, handwritten phrases (and anything else you can imagine)—into unique, high-quality pieces.
Similarly, the rest of the jewelry we offer can be customized from the material to the color of details such as the stones they can contain.
2. What is a custom-made jewel?
We define a “custom-made jewel” as a product that we create from scratch based on our own design: a drawing by a small child, a meaningful tattoo, a handwritten phrase, a symbol…
These types of jewelry are made one by one, going through conversion to a digital design, laser cutting, and entirely manual treatment and finishing.
A custom-made piece of jewelry can be prepared in the form of a pendant (with a necklace), earrings, a ring, or a keyring.

3. What is a personalized jewel?
At Gata y Lusa, we use the term "personalized jewelry" when referring to all those items.
Products such as rings, earrings or necklaces, in which some of their characteristics can be modified according to the taste of each customer.
In most of our products, the customer will always be able to select:
- The material the jewelry is made of: silver, gold, and plated.
- The color of the cubic zirconia or diamond crystals that the product has: from the standard color of the crystal itself, through a choice of available colors or a variation of one or more colors.
In this way, personalized jewelry allows the customer to create their own combination and obtain a unique, non-standard product.
4. What differentiates a custom-made jewel from a personalized jewel?
Custom-made jewelry offers the opportunity to create a piece entirely your own, from scratch. You send us your design, and we create your necklace, earrings, or ring exclusively for you or someone special. It's a unique and ideal gift.
On the other hand, customizable jewelry allows you to choose one of our models and adapt it to your tastes or the tastes of the person you prefer: if you prefer one material or another, if your favorite color is red, blue, violet… With this option (also very good for gifts), you can select one of our designs and get it just for you.
5. How are your jewelry pieces made?
Gata and Lusa's jewelry is made individually.
We don't mass-produce and therefore don't keep stock. Each order is made individually in our Barcelona workshop. All pieces are finished by hand by a master craftsman.
Once ready, the shipments are prepared and sent from our offices in Madrid.
6. What materials are used to make jewelry?
Our jewelry is made primarily from sterling silver, without any additional treatment or plating. This can sometimes cause the pieces to darken or yellow when stored, as silver oxidizes easily. However, cleaning with a soft cloth and/or a specific silver polishing product will easily restore their shine.
We also make gold jewelry in 18K or 24K gold, primarily by order since the price is much higher than silver. This includes yellow, rose, and white gold.
7. What is included in the shipment of the jewelry?
Each of our jewelry pieces is shipped in an individual package which includes the

8. How can I find out what size rings I need?
In the case of rings, it is necessary to know what ring size you need.

9. Can I buy a piece of jewelry as a gift?
Of course!
You can select any of our products as a gift by choosing the "I would like my order gift-wrapped" option, which you'll find below the shipping methods.
Alternatively, we will send the jewelry in one of our boxes. This option has an additional cost of 5 euros.

SHIPMENT
1. How long will it take for my order to arrive?

EXCHANGES AND RETURNS
1. Can I exchange my jewelry?
Product exchanges apply to personalized jewelry, but not to custom-made jewelry, since these are pieces made exclusively for the person who requests them.
If you have made a mistake and wish to exchange the chosen jewelry, you can make a return by sending us the jewelry you received.

- If, once you receive your order, you detect any manufacturing fault or defect, please contact us immediately so we can replace the part. In the case of manufacturing defects, Gata y Lusa will cover the return and reshipping costs.
- If the defect is due to natural wear and tear, misuse, a blow, or exposure to harmful agents, there is no possibility of replacing the part with a new one at no additional charge.

CUSTOM JEWELRY
1. What do your custom-made jewelry pieces consist of?
When we talk about Custom Jewelry in Gata and Lusa, we are referring to totally unique jewelry created from the ideas of our clients.
We want to help realize each of our clients' personal projects, creating a completely custom-made jewel based on their ideas or sketches.
Whether it's something like your child's first drawing, handwritten phrases from someone important, a tattoo with significant symbolism, a logo, a poem... We take care of turning it into a treasure to last forever.

2. What do I need to do to place an order for custom-made jewelry?
To place an order for custom jewelry, you must go to the "Custom Jewelry" section of our store. Once you have selected the type of jewelry you prefer for your order (pendant or earrings), you can upload your design (an image of the design you want to turn into jewelry) and decide if you want it engraved, which will appear with a background, or
openwork, which will only be lined.
There are standard measurements established for the designs, but we will contact you if there are any doubts when making the jewelry or if we consider any improvement or change that can guarantee the final result.
3. Can I see what it will look like before the jewelry is made? Can changes be made?
We strive to make our pieces as faithful as possible to the design you send us, but to be sure that you will be delighted with the final result, we send you a preliminary sketch.
4. Do they have the same exchange and return policies?
In the case of custom-made jewelry, the exchange and return policies are not the same.
Orders for personalized products cannot be refunded once they have been placed.
